The current high water levels reminded me of my encounter with the 'sinking' of the Lagoon Island of Venice. No where near as dramatic as now but December 2002 made the visit more interesting than usual. My thoughts are with the many shop keepers and dwellers continually barraged by the incessant salty waters.Thursday 4 December 2008
